Hola mi gente! I am always getting asked about healthy, yet delicious snacks. So here’s my answer! In 2024, healthy snacking trends are focusing on vibrant flavors, whole, real ingredients, and innovative products that cater to a variety of dietary preferences. Here are my top five favorite healthy snacks of this year, featuring fresh fruits, vegetables, and standout products like those from Siete Foods.
# 1 Mango with Tajín
Mango with Tajín is a simple yet irresistible snack that brings together the sweetness of ripe mango and the tangy, spicy kick of Tajín seasoning. Tajín is a popular Mexican seasoning made from chili peppers, lime, and salt, which perfectly complements the natural sweetness of mangos. Tajin on mangos is an excellent option, but I eat Tajin on almost all fruits and vegetables 😉 Other favorites are watermelon, apple, cucumber, and oranges!

# 2 Siete Foods Maiz Sea Salt Totopo Chips with Fresh Salsa
Siete Foods has become a household name for those seeking healthier snack options, particularly those following grain-free or gluten-free diets. What I love about Siete Foods is that their products are made with real nutritious ingredients. Absolutely love their products! You can pair these chips with a fresh salsa made from tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lime juice, and jalapeños for a satisfying and nutritious snack. They also just came out with a line of salsas, in case you don’t have time to make your own.
# 3 Stuffed Mini Bell Peppers
Mini bell peppers are a great appetizer choice! They are visually appealing and you can add a variety of healthy fillings. For a delicious and nutrient-packed snack, stuff them with a mixture of quinoa, black beans, corn, and a tsp of cream cheese. These bite-sized snacks are colorful, crunchy, and loaded with vitamins and minerals. If you’re also lactose intolerant like me, no problem. Just take a Lactaid pill before, and you will be good to go.
# 4 Elote “Mexican Street Corn”
Traditionally served on the cob. You can boil a few pieces of corn and serve with lime, salt, tajin, and a little cheese. I personally love an elote asado, or on the grill with lime and salt. An excellent high fiber carbohydrate choice!

# 5. Pre-cut veggies with Hummus
Pre-cut veggies with hummus is one of my favorite go-to snacks! Its quick, convenient, and delicious. Cut up a variety of vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, and bell peppers, and dip them in a creamy hummus made from chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. This snack is not only delicious but also incredibly nutritious.
Whether you’re looking for something sweet, spicy, creamy, or crunchy, these snacks offer a delightful array of flavors and health benefits. Enjoying these snacks can help you maintain a balanced diet while satisfying your taste buds with exciting, vibrant options. Provecho!
